Spicy & Crispy Masala Kachori Recipe

The crispy and famous snack in India is this Masala Kachori. They are round in shape stuffed with some masalas from inside and quite hard from outside. It looks like a small ball but it tastes amazing. And you don’t need any accompaniments with this dish, enjoy it just like that. 

This Kachori recipe takes around 40 minutes to make including cooking and preparation time and serves around 6 people as per the quantity mentioned below.

Ingredients Required:-
  • Maida - 2 Cups
  • Salt - 2 Tsp + To Taste
  • Ghee Or Oil - 2 Tbsp
  • Curd - 2 Tbsp
  • Besan - 1 Cup
  • Chopped Mint Leaves - Few
  • Chopped Dhania - 1 Tbsp
  • Chilli Powder - ½ Tsp
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
  • Green Chilli Paste - 1 Tsp
  • Haldi Powder - ½ Tsp
  • Garam Masala - ½ Tsp
  • Lemon Juice - 1 Tbsp
The Process to make Masala Kachori:-

1) For the dough, take a bowl and mix maida, ghee, salt and ghee. Make a stiff dough from the ingredients. Add more curd if required.

2) In a pan, heat the oil. Then add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste, haldi, garam masala, coriander leaves, pudina, salt and besan, Mix them well.

3) Continue to saute the mixture until liquid evaporates and mixture adjusts well together.

4) Put the flame off and then add lemon juice. Mix it well and keep aside to cool down.

5) Now take the dough and divide it into equal portions. They should be around lemon size.

6) Now the roll it into a flat roti or bread and should be around ⅛ inch thick.

7) Take it into your hand and put besan mixture into the centre. Then seal the kachori properly with keeping all the edges together.

8) Gently, roll it into a round shape and repeat the same steps with the remaining ingredient.

9) To fry, heat the oil and add prepared kachoris into it. Cook it until they turn golden brown in colour.

10)  Your Masala Kachori is ready. Serve it with chutneys.
